Dear Friends,
Having just celebrated Shavuot, also known as the Festival of Reaping and the Day of the First Fruits, I cannot help but appreciate what an apt metaphor it is for the ҹɫ¸£ÀûSchool of Medicine in the Galilee. After sowing the seeds and nurturing the school’s growth in recent years, we are now starting to reap the fruit. What a proud moment it was when in early June, the school graduated its very first class of medical doctors. A dream comes true for ҹɫ¸£Àûand the Galilee. This month’s newsletter offers a look at that special event as well as a view of important health-related research underway on campus that can impact human lives. We also take pride in the achievements of our award-winning faculty and provide a briefing on a conference probing the efforts to integrate Haredi students into education and the workforce. As to our successful 2016 Board of Trustees, we hope to highlight that in our next newsletter — Stay Tuned!
